Hi peeps!

There's been a lot of talk on a lot of blogs/websites about a new product that has the Bikram name attached. Up until now there have been no 'official' Bikram products in the market (apart from the yoga studios and books by Mr Choudury!) but now that's all changed.

Enter stage left, the Bikram Balance Vitality drink!

Available in 2 flavours (Original & Berry)

We are excited to introduce to you our new product that Bikram has created…BIKRAM BALANCE®. Bikram has helped develop this product for his students to replace the electrolytes that they lose during the Bikram Yoga classes and for overall energy and vitality. It can be taken 1st thing in the morning and/or before after or during a Bikram Yoga session!

Whats exciting is that urbanyoga is the first company in Europe to have this product. Call us pioneers if you will!

Bikram Balance® is a nutrient-rich fruit and vegetable vitality drink that provides natural, real food electrolytes and alkalinity to the reserves of the body. It provides the body with the antioxidant power of more than 15 servings of fruits and vegetables and 49 different superfoods. It nourishes the entire body while providing health building ingredients such as Barley Grass, Chlorella, Spirulina, vegetables such as carrot, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, parsley and kale along with fruits like blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, plums, pears, support herbs and soluble fiber. It’s also complete with probiotics and enzymes to ensure rapid nutrient absorption and healthy digestion. And best of all…it really TASTES GREAT! Bikram has 2 flavors to offer you – Original and Berry. Original is sweetened with Stevia and Berry is sweetened with Lo Han, both calorie free herbs that do not raise the insulin level and help to keep the blood sugar balanced. Both flavors provide the antioxidant power of 15+ servings of fruits and vegetables!

Should communal yoga mats at studios be banned? Should we all be forced to use our own mats to practice on? It's been widely reported for some time about the hidden dangers lurking in yoga mats supplied by yoga studios around the world and yet many of us still practice on them/sweat on them/lay on them (face down on some postures!) From athlete's foot to MRSA there's some bad stuff lurking in some studio supplied mats. Even with the use of a towel I know from my studio I still see peoples feet, hands and face touching the mat itself at points in the class and this can't be good can it? Do you know how often your studio cleans it's mats? You should. What do you think about this issue?
